Dr. Cohen received his medical degree in 1990 from George Washington University, where he graduated “with distinction” in the top 10% of his class. He then served his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, with a special interest in cardiovascular risk prevention. Dr. Cohen is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Since 2003, he has consistently received national recognition as one of the “Best Doctors in America,” as selected by physician colleagues. Dr. Cohen is married with three children, is an avid sports fan and during his free time enjoys outdoor activities with his family and friends.
Dr. Ricca received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri, in 1996. During that same year, he was elected to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. In 1999 he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. After residency, he has been involved in the education of another generation of doctors as a clinical instructor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Ricca is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and he is particularly interested in the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Since 2003, he has consistently received national recognition as one of the “Best Doctors in America,” as selected by physician colleagues.
Dr. Ricca grew up outside of Chicago, in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He enjoys hiking, photography, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and dog.
Dr. Sean Brodie received his medical degree in 2015 from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV), following in the footsteps of his esteemed father and grandfather. Upon completing his medical degree, Dr. Brodie returned to his roots in Colorado to complete his medical residency in Internal Medicine at St Joseph Hospital.
Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Brodie worked as a Hospitalist at Rose Medical Center for five years before joining our team. Here at Renaissance, he is driven by a vision of medicine where time isn’t constrained, and is inspired to offer individually tailored treatment plans and prioritize preventive care. Dr. Brodie believes in the power of humor to connect and alleviate anxieties, and regularly infuses laughter into his practice.
In his spare time, Dr. Brodie stays active through regular exercise and outdoor adventures, and cherishes moments spent with his wife and three children.
Amy keeps her finger on the pulse of the practice. She has worked with Dr. Brent Cohen for several years and as a result of their shared devotion to providing an alternative healthcare experience, she has become a champion of the concierge concept. Amy is determined to ensure that each patient is provided with the highest quality service possible. From the moment you step into the center, Amy becomes your advocate for an exceptional experience.
Amy received her BA at the University of Notre Dame and went on to pursue a career in Continuing Medical Education (CME). As Operations Manager for a private education company in Littleton, she directed programs addressing the needs of primary care physicians nationally. From there she moved to the hospital setting, developing the CME program at The Medical Center of Aurora. Here, she was also actively involved with HealthONE Outreach bringing CME to rural physicians throughout Colorado and Nebraska.
After living a lifetime in Denver, Amy moved to Evergreen where she now lives with her husband and two sons. When not spending time with family and friends, Amy enjoys reading, skiing and woodworking.
With over 16 years experience as a Medical Assistant, Stacie has developed a passion for high service attention that is truly the cornerstone of the Renaissance philosophy. She has a genuine and can-do approach with patients and she’s also an exceptional phlebotomist.
As a Denver native Stacie enjoys the Colorado outdoors by making the most of camping, hiking, swimming and appreciating her great home state. In her spare time she also enjoys painting, yoga, reading and tasting new cuisines. She is also looking forward to traveling adventures at some point in her life.
Sherrye comes to us with almost 20 years of medical assistant experience, with many years in orthopedics. She has a strong passion for offering high-quality patient care and loves the relationships she develops with each of her patients.
With the exception of 5 years in Tampa, Florida, Sherrye (a Colorado native) has lived here all her life. When not working, Sherrye enjoys spending time with her husband of 27 years, son and their two dogs.
With a foundation in compassionate care and over 11 years of healthcare experience, Emilie is dedicated to making every patient interaction positive and productive. After working in evolutionary biology undergraduate research at Indiana University, Emilie moved to Colorado in 2013 and began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her journey continued as she worked as a laboratory technician, refining her technical knowledge and attention to detail, vital skills for ensuring accuracy in patient care and diagnostics. Further expanding her expertise, Emilie served in non-profit work as a Donor Processing Technician and an Allograft Service Coordinator. These roles together built her strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and compassionate collaborative approach to patient care, essentials in her current role as Patient Care Coordinator.
In her spare time, Emilie enjoys living and road-biking throughout downtown Denver, and frequently attends concerts and music events of all genres. When she’s not in the city, she enjoys hiking, whitewater rafting, and camping with her friends. Her bookshelf is full of philosophy, psychology, and spiritual texts, and she is currently working on a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification to deepen her own meditation practice and extend that into her community.
Nicole joins us with over five years of experience in the medical field. She has worked in various medical offices such as Cardiovascular, Rehabilitation, and Neurology. Her passion is making patients smile and feel welcomed when they walk through the door.
Nicole is a Colorado native and enjoys time with her fur baby Hogan! She loves to spend as much time outdoors as possible paddleboarding, hiking, snowshoeing, or taking long walks around her neighborhood or nearby parks.
Jenifer joins us with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. Her passion is providing patients with access to the highest quality of care. She provides assistance to patients and the team, with her knowledge, experience and her smile. She is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure confidence, clarity and trust in the service received.
Outside of the office, Jenifer spends her time her husband, Troy, their kids and her many grandbabies. She is a certified Health and Wellness Coach and loves assisting her clients with their positive life goals. She is a native to Seattle and has lived in Arizona as well. She loves the beauty of Colorado and is happy to call it home.
Lena has been a Medical Assistant since 2001, and brings with her over 20 years’ experience in various fields including internal medicine, family practice, obstetrics, pediatrics, pulmonary, sleep and bariatric surgery. Most recently, Lena has worked as Lead Medical Assistant at the Oncology Specialty Care Center of CU Medicine. She has a Bachelor’s degree in social and criminal justice, a Master’s degree in Family and Community Services, and currently working on her second Master’s degree at The University of Denver in Social Work. She is also working on her certification as a Death Doula.
Not just devoted to serving her community in healthcare, Lena has also been actively involved in non-profit endeavors, supervising food catering for Catholic Charities and offering her tutoring support to youth in Denver’s public housing neighborhoods and working as a Case Manager and housing over 164 homeless families. She worked with President Bill Clinton in the opening of a The Stout Street Health center that helps deliver healthcare to Denver’s homeless. She has also established an independent initiative (The Fairy Prom Mother) to help create a memorable prom for low-income youth in need of a prom dress or suit. Ask her about it when you meet her; it’s amazing!
She has two children, her son who attends St Benedictine College in Kansas, and her 15-year-old daughter who is a sophomore at Bear Creek High School. She enjoys volunteer work in the community and listening to various podcasts.
